 Field Experience

Field Experience opportunities are provided for colleges and universities with contract agreements each school year.

 

Placement:

 

Step 1: Professors/instructors make direct contact with LaWanda Hines by email to request placement in our district.

 

Step 2: Placement request must include a complete list of student names, certification area, grade level preference, dates and times on campus.

 

Step 3: Students contact LaWanda Hines indicating the position preference of observer and the campus where you plan to observe (state background check will be processed).

 

Step 4: Once approved, professors/instructors, campus administrators, and secretaries will be emailed a list of students expected on campus.

 

Step 5: Professors/instructors are responsible for communicating with campus administrators to pair their students with volunteer teachers and to seek approval of scheduled dates and times on campus.

Classroom Observations

Classroom observations will be scheduled September through February each school year for students/interns seeking observation hours to meet course/program requirements. 

Step 1: Complete an Observation Request Form 

Step 2: Send documentation letter from university professor or certification program explaining required observation hours via email to LaWanda Hines

It may take 3-5 days for processing after these steps are complete. 

Step 3: Once accepted, you may contact the campus principal. Students/interns are responsible for making email contact directly with the principal to schedule their observation days and times on campus.
