Meet the Board

Trent Tinnin is a proud product of Bay City ISD and the BCHS Class of 1999, and his children Taelynn (12), Tate (11), and Tag (10) are students at BCJH and Tenie Holmes Elementary. His wife has devoted her life to education and his mother has been teaching math and transforming lives in BCISD for 28 years. "I am committed to the success of this district because blue and god run through my veins." Trent holds an accounting degree from Texas State University. He is spreadsheet savvy, can balance a budget, and possesses the expertise to critically review financial records. "Because I am a follower of Christ, I am called to serve." Trent's love for Christmas inspires him to transform his home into a winter wonderland for the children of the community to enjoy. To honor the life of his brother, Trent organizes and hosts the annual Travis Tinnin Golf Classic, where every penny is used to send youth to church camp. 
James and his wife Lesley are parents to twin 12 year olds, Conner and Emily, who attend BCISD. Lesley works as a Deputy Clerk in the Matagorda County Clerks Office. Hames is a business owner and serves his clients as a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones Investments. After high school, he joined the Marine Corps and was honorably discharged in 2002 when he moved to Texas. He graduated from the Business School at Howard Payne University and was the first undergrad graduate of Howard Payne University New Braunfels Extension Center. He then obtained a Masters of Science in Personal Financial Planning. Upon moving to Bay City in 2017, James started a Marine Corps Toys for Tots program that has given away toys to over 1,000 children in need. He also has served as Rotary President, Sunshine and Rainbow board member, little league coach, girls softball association coach, and youth soccer coach. He and his family are active members at First Baptist Church. "I am fully invested in BCISD because my children are a part of this district; serving on the board in my way of giving back to the community and ensuring they have the best education that is possible."
Felix and his wife Nicole were married in 2002 and have made Bay City their home. They have 5 children that keep them busy. Kadin and Kaia are both graduates of Bay City High School class of 2021 and 2022 respectively. Keaton is class of 2025, Koen 2027, and Kamilla 2034. Nicole is a teacher at Sunshine and Rainbows and teaches the three-year-old class. Felix is a Lead Measurement/Pipeline Tech for Crestwood's Tres Palacios Gas Storage. He is a member of Harvest Time church where he serves in the children's ministry. For the last 13 years, he has coached baseball, softball, and soccer. He has served on the Bay City Little League board for the last nine years and was President for two of those years. "I am excited and look forward to serving Bay City ISD, the children, and the community of Bay City."
Mrs. Robinson is a lifelong resident of Matagorda County and Bay City. Her life work has been in service to the greater Matagorda County community. She has served the community through 30 years of teaching at BCISD, where she has served as an assistant principal, behavioral specialist and a STAAR Tutor before retiring in 2005. She has also participated in the Tri-County CDC Head Start program and the Matagorda County Boys and Girls Club. For the last nine years she has served as the CEO and Founder of Empowerment For Exceeding Together Adult Education Center (E4E2) and a pre-K teacher for Sweeny ISD. She holds a Bachelor of Science with a Minor in Sociology and Certification in Special Education and a Master of Education Administration and Supervision from Prairie View A & M. She is active in the New Fellowship Tabernacle Church, the Bay City Chamber of Commerce, Lady Lions and Bay Literacy Texas Association. "My plan is to continue making a difference in Matagorda County and ensure our children obtain the best quality education passisble," she said. "I will advocate and be a voice on the Bay City ISD School Board for parents, students, educators and staff. I will provide a channel that ensures every voice in the community is involved in making educational and administrative decisions that affect our schools."

Jill was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She was fortunate to experience many of the wonderful attributes of what makes Texs great, a strong education, economic opportunity and the beauty of the coat. As a child, she knew being an educator was her passion and in her future, she worked diligently toward that goal, graduating from Texas State University, Magna Cum Laude, with a degree in Elementary Education. Upon graduation, she moved to Cypress, Texs to teach 1st grade in Cy-Fair ISD. Jill later returned to the Austin area to marry Bradley Westmoreland where she continued her teaching career until the birth of their twin sons. Since then, she has been involved in many leadership and philanthropic roles for organizations including Young Life, Women Doing Well, Christ Church of Austin and most recently BCISD School Board among others. Additionally, Jill's entrepreneurial spirit has led her to a sales position with Royal Roofing and Construction of Texas. She and her husband Bradley call Bay City home with their four children, who attend Bay City ISD schools and Holy Cross Catholic School.
The Board of Trustees consists of seven members elected for three-year terms by a plurality vote. Elections are held on the first Saturday in May each year.
