Federal Programs

The Federal Programs department works with other departments, principals and staff to ensure that grant funds are spent legally and all required documentation is met. In addition, the director works with schools in need of improvement and district/campus improvement planning according to areas directed by the Texas Education Agency under State and Federal accountability systems. Corrective action plans are developed in collaboration with other departments/campuses and submitted to the agency as required. The director establishes procedures to regulate grant spending, and ensure documents are available for government audits.

The Federal Programs Department is responsible for grant writing, use of funds, compliance monitoring, and evaluation for several State & Government programs including:

  • Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) – Title I, II, III, and IV
