As Chief of Police of a great school district, I join all members of the Bay City Independent School District Police Department in welcoming you to our website. I want to thank you for taking your time to visit our site and hope you find it useful and informative.

We are a department committed to ensuring the safety and security of an environment that is conducive to teaching and learning. To achieve this goal, the district invests significant resources in activities and initiatives designed to increase the safety of our campuses. Please know that the men and women of the BCISD Police Department take great pride in providing you, our customers, with the highest level of police services possible. Our officers come to Bay City ISD from many different law enforcement backgrounds. All have chosen BCISD due to their commitment in providing a safe school environment, serving with integrity, sensitivity and professionalism. However, safety begins with each individual who is a part of the District. When you, the student, staff, parent or visitor take a vested interest in campus safety, you can have a noticeable effect on crime.

Please feel free to partner with us by making suggestions, reporting suspicious activity, and letting us answer any questions you may have. We are proud to serve alongside you.

Chief L. C. Cunningham, Jr.
